Little Lion Tours & Safaris was founded by Juma Simba Haji, a passionate and experienced tour operator who transformed his personal journey into a mission to showcase the beauty of Tanzania to the world.
Juma’s path into tourism began humbly as a driver for a local tour company in Zanzibar, while he was studying Nursing. What started as a means to support his education soon evolved into a true passion. After four years on the road, guiding and interacting with travelers from around the globe, Juma realized that tourism was not just a job it was his calling.
Driven by this passion, he decided to formalize his career by enrolling at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) – Maruhubi Tourism College, where he studied Tourism Management. There, he honed his knowledge of destination planning, customer service, and sustainable tourism practices. Combining his hands-on field experience with academic training, Juma launched Little Lion Tours & Safaris with a vision:

As the dream took shape, Juma was joined by a group of like-minded professionals close friends (Yakoub, Ibrahim, Nasir and Khatib) who brought their own strengths, passion, and expertise to the company. Together, they helped build Little Lion Tours & Safaris into a reliable, friendly, and growing brand in Tanzanian tourism.
